Give Noah a Voice

My nephew, Noah Cheshier, was diagnosed with nonverbal autism around 2 years old. The physical, financial, emotional, relational and mental toll on him and his family has been immense. (Noah has 2 younger siblings--one of which has the same diagnosis as Noah.)

I stumbled upon videos of a Chiropractor/Functional Neurologist in Iowa using cutting edge therapies and treatments to treat children with a host of issues, including non-verbal autism, with great success. For the first time since Noah's diagnosis I felt a spark of hope that maybe one day I could have a back-and-forth verbal conversation with him--that his parents could hear Noah put his thoughts and feelings into his own words+voice. These videos and testimonials instilled hope in me that he could have a phone conversation, express himself with his own voice, and put his thoughts into his words. That would mean a different future for him, his immediate family, our extended family, and everyone his life touches! That hope and the future for Noah and his family is what I'm asking you to consider contributing towards today! Here are details of the treatment we are fundraising for Noah to receive:

Infinity Neuromotor Development Center offers 1-2 week long intensives, and being that my brother's family lives out of state from the Center, intensives would be the only way to go. Not to mention, it's where the most progress is seen. Time is also of the essence because Noah is now 6, and the brain is developing so quickly at this age! The "concrete" of the mind is starting to set.

  1. $550 Initial 1-2 hour long exam on day 1 of the intensive
  2. $6050 1 week intensive (If a second week is recommended, that's another $6050)
  3. $300 possible--If they recommend hyperbaric oxygen chamber sessions during the intensive, it's $100 per session (they usually prescribe 3 sessions if they recommend it for the patient)
  4. $5000-8000 laser they recommend for parents to buy and use at home after therapy to keep therapy and therefore the benefits going at home beyond the intensive
  5. $ for travel (14 hour drive from AL to IA)
  6. $ for lodging (I'm looking into the local Ronald McDonald house there for hopefully get free lodging, but there aren't guaranteed openings depending on when Noah's intensive would be scheduled)

So, as you can see, $20,000 is the bare minimum it will take to get 1-2 intensives under Noah's belt. We also believe we have a God that can do anything, and we ask for you to pray for complete healing for Noah, for provision, grace, wisdom and stamina for his loving but exhausted parents.
