Help me prove my innocence

Help Me Fight for My Freedom After 20 Years of Injustice

My name is Dyshon Ragland. I’m 39 years old, and I’ve spent nearly half my life in prison for a crime I did not commit.

For almost two decades, I’ve been fighting to prove the truth about my case. A case that was never built on real evidence, but instead on pressure, manipulation, and stories that never added up.

There was no gun.

No DNA.

No fingerprints.

No eyewitness who ever said they saw me with a weapon.

No phone calls.

No texts.

No real evidence connecting me to any crime.

What they said instead was this: that I, at just 19 years old, somehow ordered a grown man in his 30s to commit a murder. That same man was later found not guilty… and he’s home today. Meanwhile, I’m still here, serving time for something they couldn’t prove.

That alone should make anyone stop and think.

But it gets worse.

Over the years, I’ve uncovered disturbing truths about how my case was built. Detectives admitted to falsifying information in official documents. Jailhouse informants were used against me, and evidence that could have exposed their lies was withheld from my defense. Some of these informants were paid and given benefits for their testimony.

Now, after all these years, I’ve come across new evidence that changes everything.

A key witness has come forward and admitted that they were forced and pressured into lying. Let that sink in. Someone whose words helped put me behind bars is now saying it wasn’t the truth.

This isn’t just a technicality. This is the kind of evidence that shows my conviction was built on a foundation of lies.

I’ve never shot a gun. I’ve never told anyone to hurt someone. I’ve never even seen a dead body in real life. And I’m willing to take a thousand lie detector tests to prove that.

While I’ve been fighting this case, I’ve also been trying to build something positive from inside these walls. I’ve been helping people struggling with addiction find treatment. I’ve been running and growing a cleaning business from prison, trying to create opportunities not just for myself, but for others. I’ve been using my voice to speak out against injustice and help people who feel forgotten.

But the truth is, fighting a case like this takes resources. Legal fees, investigators, experts… it all adds up fast. And after being in prison this long, I don’t have the financial support needed to fully fight this battle the way it needs to be fought.

That’s why I’m asking for your help.

Not for sympathy.

Not for handouts.

But for a fair chance.

A chance to present the truth.

A chance to expose what really happened in my case.

A chance to come home.

If you believe that no one should spend their life in prison based on lies…

If you believe the justice system should be about truth, not convictions…

If you believe in second chances, or in my case, a first real chance at justice…
