When it rains it pours! And it feels a little like monsoon season here.

As many of you know, the Christian school Stuart was working at for 8 years changed ownership this year. It is no longer a Christian school and the present owner fired all the leadership, (Stuart was head principal of Elementary) putting our family into crisis on many levels.

Stuart found another job, but it is half the pay. He was almost forced to leave China during the time frame or searching so he had to take the first job available. As many of you know it is CRITICAL that we stay here for the time being. God has helped us through this year through a special gift each month - to which we could not survive here without. However we now face some urgent specific needs.

I will share them here below:

1. David has been given the opportunity to spend the summer working at a Christian camp.  This time away is critical for him on so many levels. To get strengthened amongst believers for the whole summer refreshes the heart, soul and mind - as China can feel heavy in all the above at times! He is not allowed to work in China so he has no way to purchase a flight ticket. They want him immediately so if we can raise the money, we will purchase his ticket immediately and send him off. 
2. We have a trailer residence in Canada. This must be kept so that we keep our Canadian residency while in China. Up Until now we have allowed it to be used for free for visiting speakers/or as needed in exchange for pad rental charges. As of now we must now pay a yearly fee. This is very difficult to do but extremely necessary! It is due immediately.

1. Our housing community just changed the electricity method to our house this week. In China we must prepay the electric and water bills. We must pay for an estimated 3 months immediately.

1. As many of you know, in Beijing you cannot drive downtown without a specific license plate. Joshua’s hospital is downtown. Stuart new school is also downtown so we must have a car for these needs. Usually we are supposed to pay 12 months in advance. But they are willing to do it in 3 months instead.

We have been living as carefully as we can, but we are now at a point where we need to reach out and ask for help for these specific bills and needs.

Our life here in China is a gift and we try to live our lives being the hands and feet for Jesus as best as we can!
