Hi, my name is Andrew Pinkel, and this summer I have the opportunity to go on a mission trip to the Dominican Republic from June 8–13 with my church, Lifepark Church.

While we’re there, our team will be serving in a variety of hands-on ways. We’ll be sharing the gospel directly with kids through VBS-style programs, helping lead a sports camp for younger children, and building relationships with them in a fun and meaningful way. We’ll also be involved in food distribution—buying food, putting together packages, and delivering them to families in need. One of the most impactful parts of this is getting to hear people’s stories and pray with them.

I’m especially excited about the opportunity to serve at a special needs orphanage. These kids are often overlooked, and I want them to know they are deeply loved and valued. Getting to spend time with them, care for them, and pray with them is something that really matters to me.

My faith has been shaped by my parents, grandparents, my church, and the leaders in my youth group who have poured into me over the years. Because of that, I feel called to pour into others in the same way. Over the past two summers, I’ve been involved in local mission work, which has helped me grow in confidence and prepared me to share the gospel more boldly.

This trip is an opportunity for me to step out of my comfort zone, serve others, and share the hope of Jesus in a real and personal way. I’m excited to see how God will work—not just in the lives of the people we’re serving, but in my own life too.
