There are moments in life where you can clearly see the hand of God… even in the unexpected.

This mission trip to Kenya has been one of those journeys.

Our daughter Alison (20) and our son Dylan (15) have been given the opportunity to serve at the Village of Hope in Kenya this May 2026. They will be sharing the love of Jesus, serving children and families, and stepping into a deeper understanding of what it means to live out their faith.

But this journey hasn’t come without challenges.

Just as we began preparing and fundraising, our family faced an unexpected season. I had to undergo spinal cord surgery, followed by a longer-than-expected hospital stay and ongoing recovery. What we thought would be our biggest fundraising month quickly turned into a time of stillness, healing, and trusting God in a new way.

Yet even in this, God has been so faithful.

He has provided step by step through prayers, through people, and through moments that remind us that this mission is not just about a trip… it’s about obedience.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” — Proverbs 3:5–6

Alison and Dylan each carry a heart to serve:

1. Alison is filled with compassion towards kids, and a desire to pour into others
2. Dylan with a servant’s heart, a love for music, and a growing faith that continues to stretch him

We believe this trip will not only impact those they serve, but will shape who they are becoming in Christ.
