Help bring mom to the US

Campaign Created by: Cristina Kamilchu

The funds from this campaign will be received by Cristina Kamilchu.

Goal: USD $10,000
Raised: USD $ 3,005

Hi!

I am raising money to help bring my mom, Olga (who lives in Romania) to the US. She recently became a widow when my dad passed away on March 5th, 2022 and my husband and I cannot afford at the moment all the fees involved in the move.

All the raised funds will be used for immigration fees, paperwork, plane ticket(s) for her to be able to join us in the US.

If you feel led by the Lord to help me in accomplishing this, please donate.
Any amount is very appreciated!

Dear friends,

The USCIS is estimating the time for a case decision in my mom's immigration to be 4 months (this is just an estimation: it might take less or more).

We are praying and hoping to be a positive decision that will allow us to follow the next steps in the immigration process such as the scheduling of the biometrics at the US Embassy, and medical visits, all being necessary for obtaining the US entry visa.

Please continue to be in prayer for us for a good and fast outcome, peace, and patience, and please continue to support us if you can!

Blessings,

Cristina

P.S.: I attached a screenshot of the immigration case status.

Dear friends,

I apologize for not posting more updates!

I've been away for 3 months, traveling to Romania, grieving with my mom and family, looking for a company that took care of my dad's gravestone and all the costs involved, helping my mom declutter her apartment,  and taking care of numerous legal paperwork after the passing of my father. It was a very busy and stressful time for me and my family, but I am very grateful that I was able to be there and help.

While in Romania, I also helped my mom get a new passport (the old one was expired).

Other than that, the USCIS is still processing the first step of my mom's immigration, there are no serious updates. According to the information available on their website, this might take 10 to 16 months. It's been almost 6 months since I applied for her immigration paperwork! Thank you so much to everyone who has been in this with us prayerfully and financially!

In the meantime, could you please pray with me for God to give us patience throughout this?

I will update you as soon as I have more news!

God bless you,

Cristina

Dear friends,

I haven't been posting any updates since March because there are no changes in the immigration process since March 19th.

The USCIS is still processing the I-130, Petition for Alien Relative and, there are no changes or news at this moment.

As soon as USCIS sends me updates, I will let you know.

I am currently in Romania, helping my mom, being by her side in these difficult moments and, taking care of a lot of things that are requiring immediate attention after my dad's passing, things that my mom cannot take care of by herself such as bills including dad's grave stone, legal documents, passport renewal for my mom and many more...

If you can, please continue to pray for us and help if you can!

May God bless you all and thank you so much for all your prayers and support!

It has been so encouraging and relieving for us knowing that we are not alone in these difficult times!

God is so good and He is so graciously providing for our needs!

Firstly, thank you to everyone for your prayers, kind words, and financial support!

Secondly, I just finalized and filed through USCIS the first step that starts the entire immigration process for my mom (File I-130, Petition for Alien Relative).

Now we are waiting for it to be processed by USCIS.

Thirdly, I am flying to Romania on March 21st to be with my mom and family. Please pray that I make it there safe!

I will be there until June taking care of legal things that are left after my dad\'s passing and helping my mom.

Hopefully, by then the USCIS will update us on the next steps in the immigration process which will most likely require traveling to the US Embassy in Bucharest, Romania, and more paperwork.

I\'ll keep updating as soon as I have news!

Please continue to pray for God\'s peace and comfort upon us and, His help through all this immigration process!

May God bless you all!
