My beloved Bubsy Boy, my tiny orange tabby who had been by my side through some of the darkest times of my life, took his last breath right in front of me. Living in an apartment means we can't bury our pets at home—a reality that feels as unfair as it is practical. Instead, Bubsy will go through aquamation, and I needed to figure out how to bring him back home for a proper farewell. 🙏 Bubsy hasn’t just been my pet; he has been my companion in the battle against depression. His big eyes always seemed to understand when I was down, coming closer with each purr as if offering silent support and comfort. He taught me what unconditional love truly means—a lesson that life so often forgets to teach us. But now, there’s a gap where my little friend used to be. A space in the quiet moments of my day when I reach out for touch but find only air instead. 💔 I want him back home with me and my husband—not just as an urn on our mantelpiece, but physically close enough that every time we sit down or lie in bed, his presence is felt.
