Blessing Becky: A Road To Recovery

**NEW UPDATE 07/08/26**

Mom has been in good spirits and is doing well overall, though she’s definitely ready to leave the hospital. She was almost discharged when doctors found air around her lung again, so they placed a chest tube to help resolve the issue.

Thankfully, it seems to have worked. She’ll have a few more X-rays to make sure everything continues to look good, and we’re hopeful she’ll be able to go home soon. Thank you all for your continued prayers and support—they mean so much to our family

** UPDATE AT BOTTOM 6/25/26** On June 12, my mom was rushed to the hospital in septic shock. It was sudden and life-threatening, and our family has been trying to process everything since.

She spent 5 days in the ICU, and she fought hard just to stabilize. We are incredibly grateful that she is now out of the ICU, but the road ahead is still long. She will likely need to move to a rehabilitation facility soon and will require ongoing care as she regains her strength.

My parents are retired and live on a fixed income, and this unexpected medical emergency is going to bring significant financial strain—from hospital bills to rehab and continued care.

We are asking for help to ease that burden so she can focus fully on healing and recovery.

If you know my mom, you know she would never ask for help. She is always the first person to lend a hand, check on a friend, or offer encouragement.

Any donation, no matter the amount, means more than we can express. If you’re not able to give, sharing this fundraiser would also help us tremendously.

Thank you for your support, prayers, and kindness during this difficult time.

**UPDATE**

We met with Becky’s doctor today, and he shared some encouraging news. Based on all of her tests and imaging, he does not see any signs of a stroke. He believes her confusion is due to the sepsis and reduced kidney function causing toxins to build up in her body. They still plan to do an MRI with sedation as a precaution, but the doctor believes what she’s experiencing is reversible. It will just take time, dialysis, and healing. Thank you all for your continued prayers and support—we appreciate every one of you.
