Hi, I’m Bell, a 2D artist and animator. This summer, I’ll be 25. For over a year and a half, I’ve been moving between houses, roommates, and motels. I thought my homelessness nightmare was ending when a friend offered to pay for a place, but they backed out at the last second. I’m currently in an Airbnb until May 1st at 11 am. I’m medically recognized as disabled, but I’ve been denied disability twice. I only have a few dollars left. We have a gofundme open and I have opened emergency commissions but due to the lack of traction and while I have been doing my best to promote everything and as much as I have a small support system, they can only help so much. Nobody has pitched in other than a few of my friends but like I said, they can only do so much. My biological mother has cut contact with me due to my ex friends who lied. My biological father’s ex wife did help for a short while, it wasn’t the right moment for her to pitch in. I’m desperate at this point because any shelter I have tried getting into has rejected me. And as I am medically recognized as disabled, I was still looking for work. For over a year. I got nothing. I’m dealing with so much emotionally and mentally. I’m so scared and I’m so tired having to fight for just a roof over my head. I have re-applied for food stamps, temporary housing assistance, and medical insurance since I moved down to Florida from New York. I haven’t been on my medication since last year of August. I’m tired, and I just want to give up. I’m so exhausted. But I can’t because I have people who want me here. If you can’t afford to help, at least spread it. Please, I don’t want to go back on the streets again.
