For those of you that know my mother well, it should come as no surprise that this page currently has to be kept a secret. Being Italian and Irish, she almost couldn't escape the stubborn gene! And with that comes the difficult task of asking for help. She is small but mighty! Thankfully for her, she passed that gene on to me so here I am creating something that I know she would resist! Some of you may know that 16 years ago, Ann was diagnosed with breast cancer. She came, she saw and after a long fight she conquered! And for 16 years she was cancer free. Unfortunately it has decided to show itself again, this time as stage 4 ovarian cancer. Through the past couple months I have witnessed a side of my Mother that I did not know existed. Her determination and strength has been impossible to ignore as she remains hopeful, joyful, and certainly hasn't lost her sense of humor. Yes, she asked her nurse for extra olives in her "chemo cocktail"! As many of you can assume this journey can be financially devastating for an individual to handle on their own. All the money raised will go directly to medical costs and general support. Any amount will help. The amount of love and support that she has felt from her friends, family, and co-workers has touched her deeply and has increased her faith. She has trusted Jesus through this process and he has made his love so tangible through you all. I can not wait to share the moment with you when she is handed a check and shown this page. What a glorious moment that will be! Her surgery is scheduled for the middle of December so I am hoping to share with her this blessing after her recovery period. Stay tuned for updates and a video of the reveal! Thank you all for everything you have done and by loving on her so well. It means more then you know.
