Since the mid 1980s, Allen and Elizabeth have poured out their lives in service to God’s Kingdom among least-reached peoples. They first made their home in Pakistan in the 1990s, raising their children there, and in the past fifteen years have continued serving in Pakistan, the UK and Germany — walking alongside the poor, supporting asylum-seekers, and strengthening the Church where it is small and under pressure. Their lives have been shaped by obedience to Christ and a willingness to go wherever He sends them.

Now, as they turn 65, a new season is beginning. Rather than living full-time overseas, they are transitioning to living part-time in New Zealand while continuing short-term ministry trips to Europe, focusing on member-care, training, mentoring and discipling others. After years of frontline ministry, they sense the Lord leading them into a role of strengthening the next generation of leaders.

To make this transition possible, this year Allen and Liz hope to establish a simple “lock-and-leave” home base in Dunedin, where their son, daughter-in-law and precious granddaughters live. This will not just be a house, but a place of rest between ministry trips, a space for family, and a secure base for the years ahead.

A few weeks ago, something remarkable happened. A man who had heard about their desire for a home approached them and shared that three years earlier, God had spoken to him about helping returning missionaries re-establish themselves in New Zealand. In obedience to that prompting, he offered to buy land that Allen and Liz could use to put their tiny home. That land has now been purchased and is waiting for their tiny home to be built. It feels like a clear sign of the Lord’s provision and kindness.

Allen and Liz have stewarded their finances carefully over many years and have saved a significant amount toward this project. At present, they have approximately 65% of what is needed to build and furnish their tiny home. To complete the project and establish this base this year, they need to raise NZ$70,000.
