Dear friends and family of the Ben and Shawn Schappell family,

We have an incredible opportunity to come alongside Ben and Shawn as they step out in faith to adopt a precious baby. They have been wisely preparing, saving, sacrificing and getting every duck in order over the last couple of years. But they just got the call, and had to immediately leave their work, church, family and daily lives to fly to Las Vegas for 2 weeks to meet their newborn daughter, Oksana Shayne Taylor Schappell.

Adoption is a beautiful reflection of the Gospel—just as God has welcomed us into His family, The Schappell's are opening their hearts and home to welcome a child in need of love, stability, and a forever family.

While this journey is filled with joy and anticipation, it also comes with insanely expensive financial costs. From legal fees and agency expenses, to travel and preparation, adoption can be overwhelming. That’s where we, as a community, have the chance to make a real difference.

We are raising funds to help ease this burden so Ben and Shawn can focus on what matters most—bringing their child home. We have had the privilege of being Ben and Shawn's pastors for many years, and this family are some of the most committed, loving and selfless people you will ever meet. They are an amazing investment.

Every gift, no matter the size, is a tangible expression of love and support. When you give, you’re not just meeting a need—you’re helping write a story of hope, belonging, and new beginnings.

We also ask that you would pray. Pray for a smooth process, for provision, for wisdom, for favor and for this child as she is brought into a loving home. Please also pray for the rest of the Schappell family as Lenya, Paxton and Talia are excitedly in the middle of this 'God adventure' as well.
