Rebuliding after tragedy

Right now, my family is walking through one of the hardest moments of our lives. We’ve just been locked out of our home, and everything we own is still inside. Our kids are watching us try to stay calm while we’re scrambling to figure out where we’re going to sleep, how we’re going to keep them safe, and how we’re going to rebuild from something we never thought would happen to us.

We’ve been fighting for years to keep our home. We’ve done everything we could, every phone call, every document, every prayer whispered in exhaustion. But today, the eviction became real. The door closed behind us, and we were left standing outside with nothing but the clothes we had on. Our children’s beds, their toys, their clothes, their sense of normal — all of it is out of reach. And we’re trying to explain to them that this isn’t the end, even though it feels like the ground has been pulled out from under us.

In this moment, I’m holding onto the belief that God’s grace shows up through people. Through kindness. Through strangers who choose to care. I’m not someone who usually talks about faith, but right now I’m asking God for strength, for protection over my kids, and for a way forward. I’m asking Him to send help, to open a door where every door has been slammed shut. I’m asking Him to remind us that even when we lose everything, He doesn’t leave us.

We’re trying to keep our kids fed, warm, and emotionally steady while we figure out our next steps. We need help with temporary housing, basic necessities, transportation, and the ability to keep our kids in school and in routines that help them feel safe. We’re doing everything we can, but we can’t do this alone.

This is why I’m reaching out. Not for pity — but for partnership. For support. For people who believe in lifting up families when they’re at their lowest. Even a small donation helps us take one step toward stability. Sharing this campaign helps us reach someone who might be able to help. Every act of support is a reminder that God works through human hands, human hearts, and human generosity.

If you feel led to help, please know that your kindness is an answered prayer for us. You’re helping us rebuild safety for our children. You’re helping us get closer to a place where they can sleep without fear, where they can play without worry, where they can feel like kids again. You’re helping us take the first steps toward a new beginning after losing everything we had.

We’re exhausted, but we’re not giving up. We’re scared, but we’re holding onto hope. We’re displaced, but we’re believing that God can turn this around through the compassion of people who choose to care.

Thank you for reading this. Thank you for praying for us, supporting us, or even just sharing our story. May God bless you for being a light in a moment where everything feels dark. Your help means more than you know.
