This page is to raise money to cover funeral expenses from the unexpected passing of Scott Taylor from McCaysville, Ga on January 1st, 2021. Scott was only 62 years old. He was married to the love of his life, Cindy Taylor for 37 years. He left behind his 34 year old daughter, 35 year old son-in-law, 4 year old grandson and 1 year old granddaughter.
Scott suffered chronic severe back pain and needed a surgery with an only 30% success rate. In late September 2020, he lost feeling in his hands and was immediately scheduled for neck surgery. The surgery went well, however it caused him to slowly aspirate in his lungs, eventually causing pneumonia. A week later he started having very painful stomach spasms forcing an exploratory surgery and removal of ulcers that they said were caused from years of anti-inflammatory medicines for his back. Before he had the ulcers removed, they took him off of aspirin which we strongly believe caused him to have a stroke the night before Thanksgiving. He never really recovered from that and was sent home on hospice December 23rd. He passed on January 1st with family and friends by his side.
This series of events was obviously very unexpected. Scott was on disability and unfortunately did not have a life insurance policy. We just want to make sure that the family can grieve him without having to worry about funeral expenses and remaining hospital bills. Anything will help. If you have already sent money or flowers to the family, please disregard and just continue to keep them in your prayers. Cindy would never ask for money and actually asked us to not do this, but the truth is she needs help and we would love to take this off of her plate. If you have nothing to donate, it is totally fine. Just keep the family covered in your prayers. Thank you for being there for our family in this sad time of need.
