It is with a somber heart that I type out this campaign.
My 8 yr old pooch hasn’t been feeling well for a couple weeks now. I’ve brought him to the vet several times over that time, had a bunch of test done which proved inconclusive on anything that could be causing this sudden onset of illness. Until today.
I brought him in for an ultrasound and it wasn’t long before they discovered the lymphoma.
I feel like I am drowning in sadness. I lost his mother 10 months ago, I don’t feel prepared to lose him too. I literally hand delivered him. Raised him from day one, and he has been a model dog. Well behaved, friendly with people and other animals, and just what I want in a dog, loyal to a fault. Now it’s my turn to show my loyalty.
Chemotherapy is an option, and from what I have frantically researched since we left the vet, can result in months to years of life extension, with a general uptick in quality of life. Whereas without, he has weeks to live.
So I am reaching out to all of you, my family, my friends, aquaintances I have made through the years.
Please help me give Rusty the best possible shot at the most precious of things, life.
Thank you for your consideration in donating, know that it is appreciated.
