Last November, my mom Nancy got that type of news no one wants to hear...
Seemingly out of nowhere she was diagnosed with stage 3 high-grade serous carcinoma of the ovaries. An anomaly of an occurrence because moms always been very healthy, we all take care of ourselves & for someone who’s 74, she is one of the healthiest we all know, not on any pharmaceuticals & never really been to the hospital for anything, so this has been a great shock. A major concern factor was the amount of weight mom lost over the 1st few weeks. Though we did immediately start her on a fast, then juice cleansing, along with many supplements we make in house for our brand, as well as many other plants & even a few good chemical supplements which resolve cancer quickly. However for someone who is extremely active & always has been an avid gardener, plays volleyball twice a week & runs a lot of the backend of S.U.N., etc., a body not in motion begins to waste immediately. She began loosing a lot of weight & with the ovarian tumor beginning to leak into the peritoneum, thereby irritating the stomach lining & increasing serous fluid build up, her stomach started filling with this painful mix which made it so she now had to be as horizontal as possible for 70% of the day. Thankfully the formulas we made on many levels, topicals, day & night cannabis capsules, even a tea specifically for the ascites, began setting mom back on the right path & suppressing any further growth & spread.
We went to work researching holistic therapy centers in the US & abroad while the UW & John Hopkins figured out their own internal issues with insurance & facility contract disagreements. While staving off the continued pressure from the Western medical system only wanting to install a port to begin chemo (the only thing insurance will sadly cover) we we’re able to finally find a clinic that actually seemed to have great results, as well being one of the most affordable & not wanting to still extort a possible patient for money. We settled on Immunity Therapy Center (ITC) in Tijuana. With the money they have been able to infuse, her cancer marker numbers have already been improved significantly, there is so much hope. She will need two more return trips, (as far as we currently know) to finalize the process of getting cancer free without surgery.
There was the kindness of an initial generous infusion from an amazing couple to get the process started at ITC in Tijuana, However that has already run out. Mom & Dad have obviously already begun using their meager life savings & are not opposed to using it all. However there is still much work to be done, so it’s time to ask all our communities for help!
Helping mom isn't just like helping anyone get better or sharing just any energetic donation. She has a soul we all need around as long as possible, she single handedly brings so much joy to so many in our community. She is mom to so many who have had rough upbringings and needed a family in tough times. She raised me in the best way I believe any mother could raise a child, without any trauma, indoctrination in any system and so much adventure & imagination with continued support & belief in any dream I’ve ever had or pursued.
Not only are we creating space for Mom to stay here with us all, but I must say, our families health brand Science Under Nature wouldn’t even exist without her!
She is the reason our first brand even became a reality. I have my entire world & most of my experience to thank her for, so I must do anything & everything I can for her!
It’s imperative as one big family to look out for one another, no one left behind as some of us say. So, it starts at home, to look out for one another when one of us is in need. Especially when we still have with us one of the kindest & brightest souls which still grace OUR Mother Earth. We would all be so fortunate to have a mother as her, one who has given so much to so many. I can’t even count how many dear friends call her mom, since she has helped raise many when in need throughout the years.
Personally, I wouldn’t be the man I’ve become or be able to be of even greater service & support to all our collective family if it wasn’t for her. Most don’t get to have a mother who is so kind, so giving of herself to think of others needs.
So now it would be amazing to focus on hers.
