Hi everyone,
My name is Magic, and I’m an unemployed disabled graduate student trying to build a better future for myself and my fiancé. Life has thrown us some unexpected challenges, and we’re reaching out to our community for support during a difficult time.
My fiancé, who is also disabled, has been struggling with severe dental issues that have caused chronic pain and made everyday life incredibly difficult. He recently had to have an infected tooth pulled and is need of a few root canals and crowns. As someone who already faces physical limitations, this has added an overwhelming burden to their life. Without dental insurance, we’ve had to pay out of pocket for consultations, procedures, and medications, which have already cost us thousands of dollars.
To make matters worse, I’ve also been dealing with my own dental crisis. I have impacted wisdom teeth that are causing significant pain, and one of my lower wisdom teeth has erupted and become infected. The infection has made it difficult to eat, sleep, and focus on my studies, adding even more stress to an already overwhelming situation.
On top of all this, we both have food allergies that have made finding safe, recovery-friendly foods even more challenging—and expensive. Many of the soft, easy-to-eat foods typically recommended for dental recovery aren’t options for us, forcing us to seek out specialized alternatives that come at a much higher cost. This has added even more strain to our already tight budget.
We’re now facing the need for additional dental work for both of us—addressing my fiancé’s chronic issues and my infected wisdom teeth. Unfortunately, the costs are beyond what we can manage on our own. That’s why we’re humbly asking for your help.
Any contribution, no matter how small, will go directly toward covering the cost of dental procedures, medications, and recovery expenses, including the specialized foods we need to heal. Below is a list of expenses and estimate costs of current and upcoming work. (Root canals and Crowns are not included).
Wisdom teeth - 1911
Extraction - 449
Consults and check ups- 99, 114, 200, 200
Medications - 9.54, 13.57, 3.99
Estimated Food Costs - 130
Your support will not only help alleviate our pain but also give us the chance to move forward with hope and gratitude.
We know times are tough for everyone, and we’re so grateful for any help you can offer. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser with your network would mean the world to us.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for being a part of our journey toward healing. Together, we can bring back the smiles we’ve been missing.
With heartfelt thanks,
Magic

Good news!
I was able to get my bottom teeth pulled at a free clinic and they are healing really well. I also got cleared for surgery to remove my impacted uppers!
Bad News!
My partner is having more pain and sensitivity in one of the teeth that needed some work. It looks like it may be absessed and we'll have to get him in for an emergency appointment. Where it's one of his front teeth we're hoping all it needs is a root canal and a crown but if it is abcessed we'll have to have it done asap or he may loose it.
Aaannnd while my pulled teeth are healing well, the pain of my lowers had been covering up how much my upper impacted hurt. I've had a raging headache for the last 3 days with no relief. And weirdly enough my upper teeth hurt more when I try to eat.
Regardless I am so incredibly appreciative of the people who have been able to donate and those who have shared. Thank you so so much.

We've had some bad luck. My partners tooth that had gotten pulled was healing nicely but part of the clot came out. On top of that the dental clinic didnt work out for them so they've still got some teeth to do but we'll have to pay out of pocket for it.
I'm hoping that I can still get mine pulled this afternoon. Wish me luck!
