Talareah and I have been married for 8 years, and have been attempting to start a family for the past 3. After months of no activity, which often led to disappointments, Talareah and I decided to go get checked out to find out why were not able to conceive. Subsequent tests and examinations followed, all of which pointed to the doctor's final conclusion: "I'm afraid you and your wife may not be able to conceive naturally", in large part due to the chemotherapy treatment I received as a teenager. He also took the time to rule out IVF (In vitro fertilization) as he did not believe this would lead to pregnancy either. While this news did not come as a shock, as we had our suspicion that this could be the case, we were discouraged, nonetheless.
There we sat, in our condo, at the top of the stairs, just outside our bedroom, pondering our options, but knowing in our hearts that the Lord had been leading us to one choice: Adoption
A few years ago, in 2016, a friend asked us to pray about adopting, to which we responded dismissively. Three years later, both our hearts were wide open, ready to embrace whatever the Lord wanted to do with our family; After all, we are adopted in Christ. The only mom I've ever known has been my stepmother, my wife's classmate from her master's program expressed a very powerful sentiment, "When it comes to adoption, it's not about what child you'll get, it's more about what child gets you".
So here we are, embarking on our journey to bring our baby home, but we are in need of your support: financially, emotionally, and most importantly, spiritually. Would you consider partnering with us by prayerfully donating to our family?
