I am in awe and at a loss for words!! God has moved mountains and has answered all of our prayers!! Right now Jerianne, Amani, and Anston are arriving in LAX and are being picked up by her parents. They were able to travel together as a family, we raised enough money to cover all three plane tickets, Amani was able to get through immigration with ease and it was all done so swiftly!! It is just a reminder to move in faith. As Jesus said in Luke 17:6 all we need is "faith like a grain of mustard seed" make things move.
Thank you all again for your support and prayers!! In a time like this there are so many things to keep in prayer, so continue to pray in faith knowing that God is moving and desires us to be involved in the miracles he is doing!
Thank you for all of you that have been able to give. Last night I felt anxious about my giving and about asking others to give. But I was reminded by this morning's verse of the day that all we are asked to do is to give with joy. 2 Cornithians 9:7 says " Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God love a cheerful giver." This brough me peace and that was my prayer today that those who would be able to give did so out of joy because at this time so much is uncertained and unknown, BUT GOD is so much bigger than it all and is continuing to demonstrate it in my own life and in the life of Jerianne and her family.
Jerianne let me know that by the grace of God she was able to find one way tickets to the US for only $3000 USD per person. When looking initially into flights the grand total for 3 one way tickets was close to $20,000. But God is good and with all of your support and prayers we have been able to raise enough money to cover the cost of 1 of the 3 tickets.
Travel internationally, even across the US, is becoming harder and harder given many restrictions. Due to rumors of airports closing and flights being canceled, someone has graciously fronted the cost of the tickets to allow them to quickly purchase the tickets enabling them to leave today. However, they still need to raise money to cover the cost of the remaining 2 tickets. And even more than that they need our prayers!!
Although they have the visa for her husband and the tickets, Jerianne let me know that they have and will continue to face roadblock along the way. Her husband is Tanzanian and not a US citizen. At the airport they struggled to even get through check-in and then had more difficulty at passport control. Everyone was telling them that he was not able to leave but they allowed him to go. What an answer to our prayers they get to continue as a family!! As they make their way to the US and eventually home to California, it will not be an easy process. Please continue to lift them up in prayer. Please pray for health (especially for their son Anston who has a history of respirtory issues), safety, provisions, favor with immigration/passport control, speedy processing through immigration when they arrive on US soil, peace, hope, joy and that the Lord will continue to use them as his light along the way. May this process be a testimony of how mighty our God is!!
