The world has been watching as Hurricane Harvey has torn through the bottom portion of America. Over 400,000 lives have been affected by the floods of this Category 4 Hurricane. As the rains have subsided, the flood damage continues to devastate lives as the shock of the aftermath sets in.
But we don’t have to watch anymore. We can do something.
You can do something.
Our disaster response missions team is working with ministry partners and friends in the area and is already mobilizing, identifying needs, and sharing Jesus as they help communities rebuild their lives.
But there is a lot to be done, and they need our help.
On this relief trip, we could do anyting from offering water, food, clothing, supplies, and extra hands to people in need of hope to helping remove debris from ravaged neighborhoods.
We might offer care to injured people who've been displaced from their homes or listen to heartbreaking stories and pray alongside the Houston community.
Join us in making a difference in the lives of our brothers and sisters affected by the flooding by giving today.
We will be partnering with StoneBridge Church in The Woodlands, just 30 miles north of Houston, Texas. They will be our home base for lodging, meals, and ministry preparation as we drive south to help neighborhoods in need.
Ministry will include addressing people's most urgent concerns, most likely taking care of needs in nearby shelters, getting families relocated back into their houses, and assisting those who do not have insurance options and means to restore their homes.
With water lines still down, water and food distribution are still a huge necessity. So, we will help clean out houses while bringing the light of Jesus into a place still shocked from the recent losses.
