It all started when I decided to run for city council in NYC in 2023, putting my heart and soul into advocating for those who needed a voice. But the journey wasn't easy; it led me down a path of unexpected challenges that have tested every ounce of resilience within me.

I’ve always been driven by one thing: making this world a better place for all of us. From giving away my hard-earned money to helping those in need and advocating for what is right, I never hesitated when the opportunity arose to lend a hand or an ear. But then life threw a curveball—I was terminated from my teaching job after running against the council member who had connections with the superintendent of the school district.

The aftermath hit me like a tidal wave. In that moment of despair and uncertainty, I found myself out of work for almost a year, taking care of my beloved grandmother. Simultaneously, my best friend was involved in an accident so severe he could barely walk for awhile. The bills started piling up, leaving us grappling with the harsh reality of living in New York City.

Since my grandmother's passing in late 2024, the back taxes and debt continued to accumulate. Our situation has gotten so severe that we are on the verge of becoming with shelter and my wages being garnished due to debt and back taxes. On top of all of this, my foster mother is fighting for her life after being diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. Any proceeds from you will go towards helping her and me visiting her out of state, as well as paying our debts and important bills.

I’ve always believed in a brighter future for our community—one where every hardworking soul gets their fair chance to thrive without barriers or unfair circumstances standing in their way. And that's why I'm here today, reaching out to you with an open heart and vulnerable spirit.
