Let me tell you a little bit about my hero....
This is Christopher, my oldest son. My happy boy with the biggest heart ever. He's always been known to be the first to lend a helping hand, a listening ear, a shoulder to cry on for anyone in need. He always has a smile on his face, even when he doesn't feel it in his soul. Chris is loved and cherished by so many, he is the light in a dark room.
Chris graduated from high school in 2017 and joined the workforce, until he finally decided what direction he wanted to go in life... He wanted to go to school to become an underwater welder (Yes, that career choice makes this mom a little nervous) Unfortunately, finances forced that dream to be placed on the back burner.
Chris joined the Navy in November 2018, leaving his friends and family to venture into the unknown.
I'd say it's been quite the experience for him so far, I wish I could say it's been all good.
Chris has made friends along the way, and has fallen in love with an amazing young woman (Happy mama here!!!)
Though as time wears on, their struggles have become more apparent. My heart aches for him when I hear the sadness in his voice. We help with what we can, when we can. I'm trying to help Chris get his head above water. I've steered him in the right direction as far as managing and budgeting his finaces, and I will continue to do so.
Chris just needs a little boost. He is a selfless young man who is always helping others, yet finds it difficult to ask for help when he truly needs it.
I couldn't be more proud of him ❤
