As most of you know by now on January 16th Gary fell down about 6-8 steps headfirst while visiting family in Maryand. After a trip to the Salisbury hospital he was transfered to University of MD shock trauma hospital in Baltimore. He sustained a concussion, and a broken vertebrae C1 and C2. He had a breathing tube put in immediatly to help and through God's Amazing Grace Gary has been able to avoid surgery. While he has had many ups and downs he seems to be steadily gaining strength back and the medical professionals working with him are very pleased with his progress.

While we are so glad that Gary is doing well, the stress and worry of finances is starting to sink in. Aside from not knowing how much of this extended stay and multiple ambulance rides insurance will cover, Mrs. Rush has been staying at a hotel close to the hospital with her children to be close to the hospital at all times. This and other expenses will most likely not be covered by insurance. We are also unsure of how much longer Gary will be at the hospital or how long it will be until he is able to return to work in TN.
