Over the last 5 or so years we have built The Oasis Centre in Boggabilla NSW, which is the culmination of a vision given years before the work started. The Centre has been designed to be the home of Oasis Family and Community Church and to be a focal point for community activities in our town. Boggabilla is a small community on the central NSW/Queensland border and is the home to a population which is predominately Indigenous.
The Centre has been built with funds and labour that have been given mostly at no cost to us. On top of the funds that were donated to the project, there have been many hours of voluntary labour invested. Without them we wouldn't have achieved what we have today.
The reason that we are seeking additional funds is that we have to satisfy some local council requirements before we are given clearance to use the centre at its full capacity. There are several items that have to be finalised. (The major expense at a cost of $2200 has already been met outside of this request). We are asking for additio0nal donations of $2500, which we would aquit on other items including landscaping, general painting and signage, car park marking, safety fencing and other items that Local Council has requested that we do.
If you would like to contribute to a project that has the ability to impact the residents of this community for many years to come, then we would encourage you to donate in whatever way you are able.
