- On Tuesday, September 3rd, Zipporah was rushed from our home in Columbia,SC to Children’s Hospital in an ambulance after experiencing severe flu symptoms and appeared to be having a seizure. She had a very high fever and brain swelling and quickly became unresponsive. On Friday, September 6th, the tests came back positive for EEE (the mosquito-borne Eastern Equine Encephalitis virus). I have been at Children’s Hospital with her this entire time, and it has been truly heartbreaking for all of my family and friends. She remains in the ICU and while I have full medical insurance plan through my employer, the out-of-pocket medical costs is be massive. Not counting my food expense. And riding back and forth checking on my other children. I lost my husband about 8 months ago in a car accident. I have doing everything on my own. I have been trying my hardest. I pray to The good Lord every morning not to take my baby from me. He is keeping her alive so far.The funds directly to be used for medical care and rehabilitation costs. These costs include neurologist support as Zipporah's brain heals, physical therapy as she regains use of her body, and in-patient care for an extended period of time. We need your help please. God will bless you ten fold.
