Pastor Florentino Solis and his wife, Lupita have been serving the Lord in Juarez, N.L Mexico for 10 years at Mision Bautista Biblica Belen (Bethlehem Bible Baptist Mission). Their ministry sees souls saved each year and men and women are sent out often, starting their own works in Mexico to spread God's Word. They have a son and a daughter who gladly help with the ministry work. Througout the months of June, July and August they have been laboring tirelessly to run Bible clubs for the young people in their town. They have very few chairs for the children to sit in but they have been praying for more and working faithfully regardless, going from street to dirt-paved street sharing the Good News with dozens of children and young people eager to listen in.
In July and August alone, 35 boys and girls accepted Christ as their personal Savior. A teen girl and a grandmother have also started coming to services faithfully in that time. They were invited to help at a teen convention with around 60 teengers where Bro. Solis preached.
Pastor Solis and the men in his ministry are also building a church. To finish the walls they need 1000 cinderblocks and enough cement to finish this part of the project, and have been praying faithfully that the Lord will provide. Both Bro. Solis and his wife, Lupita are very hard workers in God's field of harvest.
It came as a shock when we received an email that Sister Lupita had stepped out their back door at about 11 PM on Spetember 6th and stepped on a poisonous snake that was under one of their plants on the porch. She was bitten and taken to the hospital. She lay unconcious for around 24 hours before the antivenon took full affect and the doctors were able to save her life. Praise the Lord for His protection and His hand of healing. Please pray for the swelling to continue to go down and for complete recovery.
Thankful that the Lord spared Sister Lupita's life, this faithful couple now has a new need:
They have no money to cover medical expenses and no insurance that will pay for it. With a building project that needs to be finished and their two children who are still in school, this loving family needs our prayers and financial support through their time of trial. Sister Lupita is on crutches and will need to return to the hospital soon for a follow-up visit. Please pray for The Solis family. They will be grateful for any donations we are able to send them to pay for hospital bills and to show that God's people care for them and are praying for them. Thank you.
