My name is Lucy from Kenya, East Africa. I grew up from quite a less privileged family
materially but was brought up adhering to Christian values. My parents struggled to get me
through Education to the level I would have desired. God in His miraculous ways has
opened another opportunity for me as I serve His people. It is with a lot of humility to let
you know that I have been nominated for an honorary doctorate degree by
Commonwealth University in recognition of the work I do through a Christian based
Organization called Partners for Care where we endeavor to equip, empower and
encourage the Kenyan staff and partnering organizations within East Africa to achieve the
goal of eliminating needless suffering and death caused by preventable diseases –
including malaria, HIV/AIDS, waterborne illnesses and malnutrition.
In my duties, I have dedicated my life to social entrepreneurship and funding of sustainable
initiatives that ensure communities are actively involved in advancing quality of life with a
mission of saving lives and changing lives.
The Convocation/Award Ceremony will be preceded by a Leadership Summit and I am
expected to participate in this Summit. The seminar fee is $5,500 which covers the tuition,
conference materials, tea, snacks, and lunch
during the seminar sessions for three days from 28th - 31st October 2019.
I appeal to all wellwishers to help me raise finances for accommodation, expenses, travel,
food, and tuition.
