Homeschooling has not been easy, especially as a single mom. However, as most of you know, this has presently been my best option for Vinny's highest success and I am thankful to have the opportunity to meet his needs in this way! I have always been determined to make choices that are in my child's best interest, regardless of the lack of resources.
Of course, this requires me to work less outside of the home. The chiropractor's office I work in has been very understanding of my role as a full time parent and teacher.
We now live with family for moral support and to remove house debt from my worries.
This encourages me to keep going!
If you are a friend or family member, you know our struggles!
I began homeschooling Vinny midway through his kindergarten year, last year. This year he is in 1st grade. Getting this little one to focus has been super tough but we have successfully accomplished reading, math, science, and Bible along the way.
Vinny has had anger and behavior management issues since he was 3 years old. We continue to attend counseling and other programs, seeking solutions and modeling a better way for him. Vinny is very loved by his family, friends and former educators.
This will not be a struggle in vain ❤
My goal for Vinny is to have him ready for the classroom for 2nd grade. I want to get back to a normalized working schedule and get us back on our feet again.
The proceeds from this fundraiser will go directly to Vinny's tuition and materials for Classical Conversations, a homeschooling supplement class that he is signed up for in the 2019-2020 year.
The tuition is $540 and the materials cost approximately $150.
I have made his father aware of these costs. Long story short...he's not willing to help.
I am also beginning a fund raiser, utilizing my own skills as a Medical Massage Practictioner in addition to starting a GiveSendGo. Please only donate if you are able and willing! I do not intend to put anyone else in a financial burden. God will make a way ❤
