I have spent the last 3 months in Malawi helping When the Saints with sustainability efforts. When the Saints is a trauma counseling home for girls who have been sexually abused. There are currently 16 girls at the home that begin and end every day literally in song. WTS is expanding their efforts and seeking to add more counseling staff and housing for girls. If you would like to learn more about When the Saints and how you can get involved visit:

God’s provision has flowed with the rooting of my passion for sustainable agriculture and its power to end violence and empower communities. God’s heart for creation care directly relates to his passion for people care, and I’m wholeheartedly excited to bring more of that reality to this Earth!

Last month, I was accepted for a paid 14 month internship with ECHO in Fort Myers Florida that will begin this September. The focus of the internship will be in sustainabile agriculture and appropriate technologies for semi-arid landscapes in under resourced stations. This is a massive answer to pray that has been brewing in potential for years!

I am currently in route to Japan. I will spend 5 days in Tokyo re-connecting with the organizations I partnered with while living in Tokyo in 2016. I will spend the rest of June and July at Asia Rural Institute in Japan. ARI trains rural leaders from around the globe in leadership through sustainable agriculture. The mission of ARI fits so closely to the vision plan I prayed over and put into detail while in the mountains of Spain years ago. While volunteering at ARI, I will meet with the staff and work with the students to assess the potential of opportunities with ARI after completion of my internship with ECHO.

Here is a breakdown of the expenses for travel during this time. I am blessed that my housing and food while at ARI will be covered through my time volunteering with them.

Malawi to Japan $724
Transit from and to airport in Tokyo $50
Transit in Tokyo 5 days $32
Transit to and from ARI $50
Health Insurance for the 5 months abroad: $96 + $142 = $238
2.9% fee: 31.75
Total: 1,125

I am blessed that many opportunities over the last few years and the year ahead have come with financial provision. True sustainability requires community to reach beyond self into a regenerative overflow. A forrest cannot thrive without moss and wildflowers. That truth led me to writing this email after many years of silence, to welcome you into the journey.

Thank you for joining the story!

Thank You!

Thank you so much for joining in this journey! I look forward to sharing the stories with you in person of what God is doing in Japan and throughout the world through the powerful community that comes together at ARI!
