For years, our church has supported a ministry in Chiapas, Mexico called Harvest Evangelistic Association. The founders, Greg and Michelle McClanahan, have a huge heart to reach the lost and spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ throughout Mexico and the rest of the world. If you like, you can find out more about them here: https://harvestevangelistic.org/ministries/.
Each year, HEA organizes an outreach to children around Christmas time to celebrate the gift of God’s Son Jesus and to spread His love to them. Each year, 20,000 backpacks are filled with school supplies, treats, fun items, and gospel materials. These backpacks will be given away and the gospel of Christ preached at the Kingdom Kids Christmas event. Through this, many children (and parents too!) have come to know the Lord. HEA also supplies pastors they have trained with backpacks for them to carry to their remote villages and give to the children and share the gospel message.
God has and continues to use this ministry in a powerful way to bring people to Himself - some who have not even attended church before. Many families see a radical transformation in their household as parents come to know Jesus through the ministry of this outreach.
The Lord laid this opportunity on my heart earlier this year and I felt the need to go and be apart of what God is doing there. We will be supporting the missionaries by helping to fill the backpacks - no small task when there are 20k to fill. We will also be working at each of the evangelistic outreaches in Chiapas, traveling to help the pastors in the remote villages do evangelistic work there and engaging with others in sharing the gospel of Christ with them.
If you would, please consider if God would have you partner with me both financially and in prayer. We will be leaving Sunday, November 25th and returning Sunday, December 2nd. To go on this trip, the remaining total funds I need are $1,000.00 which are due Sunday the 3rd of November.
Thank you for your consideration and for choosing to partner with me either in prayer, financially or both. May the Lord richly bless you!
For the glory of God and the advancement of His Kingdom,
