Happy holidays, I hope all of you had a wonderful Christmas! I'm very thankful that I got to spend this time of year with my family.
In just a few short weeks I'll be returning to the beautiful country of New Zealand to serve my friends and then from there I'll be going to serve in France. One of the ways I've learned to live a lifestyle of worship is by loving through hospitality.
"... love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that somone lay down his life for his friends." -John 15:12-13
January - March: YWAM MARINE REACH; TAURANGA, NEW ZEALAND
I'm going back to my "promised land," the place the Lord turned my life around for the better. He took my old heart of stone and gave me a heart of flesh. While I was a part of base staff after my DTS, I loved getting to build friendships with the students and the staff as they grow in a transformational season. There were also many ways that I grew in my own walk with the Lord.
At Marine Reach, there are a few different parts of the hospitality department (kitchen, house keeping, guest services, events, etc.) that work together daily for a larger picture. My role in guest services has taught me that opening our home is more than meeting bare minimum needs such as a bed, food, and coffee. Throughout the bible we're urged to bless sojourners as they pass through. At our home base in Tauranga, we have the honor of welcoming many men and women of God who come from all over the world to teach the students about discipleship. I'm humbled and blessed to be able to serve in this genuine Christ-centered community.
March - June: YWAM BRIDGES OF LIFE; ST. HIPPOLYTE DU FORT, FRANCE
After 4 years of studying and loving every bit of French, it was a dream of mine to one day go, maybe even live in France. But it never seemed to be the time, until now. About 6 months ago in New Zealand, one of our guest speakers personally gave me a word of hope and to let God bring my dreams to life again. A couple months down the road from that, the Lord spoke the word "bridges" to me through various things. He also put it on my heart to look into actually going to France. Within a few days, I came across YWAM Bridges of Life (JEM Ponts de Vie) and knew this is where I'm supposed to go.
Something that really caught my attention about this base is what ministries their involved in. As a base, there is plenty of opportunity for everyone to 'bridge' the love of Jesus to the locals through serving and ministering. (http://www.ywambridges.com/ministries/) Some of their ministries include:
- Justice Acts France - a ministry that focuses on fighting human trafficking
- Loving on a community near the base that is for those in difficutly, such as the homeless and immigrants.
- Youth ministry
- Partner with already existing ministries in a nearby town
- Blessing the town of St. Hippolyte du Fort where the base is located

Thank you for reading!
I really hope that you feel encouraged to join me on this journey, as I go continue sharing the love of Jesus in the practical and spiritual ways. The two biggest things I am in need of right now are prayers and donations. Let me know if you're willing/able.
If you have any more questions about what I'll be doing, I'd love to tell you more personally.
God bless you all!
