My dear family and friends we are Iris and Luis Ramos and we have 3 princesses Irisel (18y), Giana (14y) and Keren (10y). Our oldest daughter Irisel was born with Wolf Hirschhorn Syndrome (4p-) a condition that affects many parts of the body. This syndrome has caused her to be completely dependent. She is wheelchair dependent, legally blind and deaf, has delays in her fine and gross motor skills and she is intellectually disabled. She is fed through her G tube to be appropriately nourished. She has asthma, seizures and abnormalities of the eyes like glaucoma and coloboma. Irisel has also had many surgeries the latest one was a scoliosis correction.
The reason we are raising money is because we are desperately in need of a better accesible van to transport Irisel to her many medical appointments and social activities such as church. We currently have an accessible van Dodge Gran Caravan 2000 in deteriorating condition. This van is not safe for anybody, it has a leaking transmission, mold from the entering rain, a broken AC and the ramp is not working properly, etc. We have tried many times to fix all these issues, but they keep reoccurring mainly because the van is too old. Because of this we are very worried that the heat and mold could cause terrible effects on Irisel’s health like seizures and asthma attacks. We can not afford a better accessible van because my husband's job is the only source of income we have and these type of vans are really expensive.
Irisel is a blessing for us, she is a lovely, kind, strong girl and we're learning from her every day. She is very lively and loves to always be in contact with others. Our life has changed with her, she has taught us to see the important things of life like to always keep faith, be strong and continue to fight on. She is a living miracle, and our angel she deserves the best. With your donation you can help improve Irisel's quality of life and keep our family safe. This is our last alternative because we have asked for help before and there have been no results. Please share our story and pray for us.
Thank you for your attention, and God bless you!!!
