Hello, my name is Duytan Nguyen (pronounced D-Tan-Win), also known as Tom Nguyen.

I grew up listening to the song “We Are the World” by Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie. It gave me a dream—that one day, all children, especially in the developing world, would be well-fed, safe, educated, and empowered to become the best versions of themselves.

I also grew up reading about the Vietnam War, where children fled naked from bombings. The U.S. dropped more bombs on Vietnam than it did in all of World War II. I’ve always wanted to help heal those wounds and build a more just and compassionate world.

That dream led me to call on billionaires—who drink the same water created by God, eat the same food from His earth, and use the brains and bodies He gave them—to do more. Not as charity, but as a moral investment in humanity’s future.

I’ve also long been inspired by Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., who said:

“Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.”

Unfortunately, standing for these ideals has come at a heavy personal cost.

⚖️ A Legal Battle for Justice

I worked for nearly five years with the Washington Nationals Baseball Club in Washington, D.C. I was fired shortly after writing to the COO, asking the organization to support impoverished children and raising concerns about what I believed was reverse discrimination against three white co-workers by a Black manager.

Now, I am fighting back—pro se, without a lawyer—in federal court:

Case No. 1:24-cv-01786 (LLA)

U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia

But my opponent is not just the Nationals. I also allege that a powerful and corrupt official at the U.S. Department of Justice, Lisa Monaco, acted unlawfully at the behest of billionaire owners to interfere with my case.

According to my evidence, Monaco and her allies:

 • Illegally broke into my iPhones

 • Deleted photos, emails, contacts, and key legal data

 • Destroyed my iCloud and Gmail accounts

 • Impersonated my former partners in a psychological campaign to sabotage my case

Their goal? To bury the truth, silence me, and destroy any chance I had to hold powerful people accountable.

🛡️ David vs. Goliath — Modern Day

Despite everything, I continue to fight—with no lawyer, no income, and no safety net—because I believe this cause is righteous. Like David versus Goliath, or the American revolutionaries who stood up to the mighty British Empire, I believe that one determined person can make a difference.

I’ve reached out to dozens of attorneys. Most quoted $400–$800 per hour and demanded thousands up front—money I simply don’t have. So I’ve spent 16 hours a day, six days a week, learning the law and fighting my case alone.

For four months, the Nationals’ lawyers ignored court orders and failed to appear. After repeated motions and complaints, I forced them to engage—and when they finally did, I made my legal arguments within 30 seconds. Though I haven’t yet won due to a technicality, I’m still in this fight.
