My name is Elaine, I am 79 years young, and I find myself without a car for the first time since age 16.  A car is needed for personal transportation for myself and my 85-year-old lovely landlady. I do most of her shopping and errand needs as well as my own.  Unfortunately, my fixed income barely covers my monthly rent and living expenses. My previous car just died its final death after being held together and patched up for 6 years.  I'm not looking for anything fancy just functional.  There is a Honda in very decent shape that is being held for me for a brief window if I can come up with the $7,500 soon. UPDATE:  A Dear Family advanced me the funds for the Honda, now I need to pay it back.  The urgency is gone, thankfully, but help is still needed.
