**anything beyond the amount needed will be used for therapy and medical bills. Will post below what that includes**
On Feb 28th Robert was in a drowning accident resulting in a 37 day stay in PICU in Texas Children’s. We left from Texas Children’s and headed to New Orleans to pursue Hyperbaric Oxygen therapy with Dr. Paul Harch. After 40 "dives" Robert is far beyond where he was expected to be.
We would like to continue to pursue a variety of therapies but often the cost of housing for our family makes the therapy unattainable even if our insurance would cover it.
We are a homeschooling family and Will (dad) can work from just about anywhere so the suggestion of an RV came to us via a friend.
An RV would mean that we could all go together to Robert's therapies, it would be much easier on Robert (and us) to not have to load and unload all his equipment into a hotel room, and Robert could almost begin to feel like the RV is his "second home" so would be more comfortable. It would also save substantially on hotel cost. The therapy we are looking at in California would cost over $10,000 in housing alone! Our insurance would cover this therapy but the housing cost makes it prohibitive.
Someone has offered us a wonderful RV for $20,000, which is a great price for an RV that fits us all! We do not have lots of time to gather the funds so I thought we would reach out to others that might like to help us in this way.
As of now Roberts therapies and medical needs are as follows:
Upcoming speech therapy - $300 - unknown if insurance covers
Anat Baniel Physical Therapy - $750 a month - not covered by insurance
Stem Cells - $13,000 every 6 months - not covered by insurance
Formula & Feeding Supplies - $900 a month - not covered by insurance
Supplements - over $200 a month - not covered by insurance
