"I'm looking for information on my mother, brother, daughter...." The voices of strangers reach out across a walkie talkie phone app seeking any information on loved ones, neighborhoods, services, the hospital. As we sit here eating popcorn and ice cream watching our children sleep and searching multiple sources online using our electronic devices for any information on the west coast or where to get food and supplies for cousins running short, the stark contrast in life as we know it and what our loved ones are experiencing is glaring. Imagine not being able to contact your son, parents, siblings for days though they are less than 100 miles away. Not being able to contact family to know if they are okay or even get to them though they are in the next town over is unfathomable. For those of you that know Ramón/Monchy, you know it's been hard to keep him from jumping in the ocean and swimming to the rescue. Or I should say jumping out of a plane flying over the island....more his style. It's hard to wait and wonder, but we don't know yet the full extent of damage or even the means to get things to our loved ones. But with estimates for the return of electricity and running water stretching into months, we know they will need the basics most immediately and much more long term - so let's help how we can! This fund will be used to send needed supplies (whatever they may be), money, plane tickets, whatever family members need. Give what you can and let's show the family we are standing with them as much as we can with our hands tied at the moment. And above all, let's unite in prayer and beseech our all knowing loving Heavenly Father on their behalf to make a way out of no way.
