For the last several years God has placed the desire on my heart to participate in medical missions and after much prayer and planning, the opportunity has finally arrived. On July 29th, 2017 I will be departing on a medical mission trip with the Christian Veterinary Mission (CVM) team to San Esteban, Olancho, Honduras for 14 days, working with Honduras Outreach International (HOI). HOI is a non-denominational, non-profit Christian organization headquartered in Tucker, GA with their Honduran operation based out of Rancho el Paraiso, in central Honduras. For over 25 years HOI has worked to address the spiritual and physical needs of the residents of the Agalta Valley in Central Honduras, using mission teams to make a long-term impact.
As a veterinarian missions team member I will have the opportunity to work alongside communities in need, by joining with those serving long-term on the ground, to help provide encouragement, veterinary expertise, and better stewardship through training in animal health care.
The trip is being funded entirely through donations and by those going on the mission trip. Every penny collected will be used to directly benefit the mission trip. I am excited about the opportunity to serve and to minister, and I ask you to join me in ministry. I am seeking your support and prayers for this mission trip.
I thank you in advance for your prayers and your financial support. May God bless you richly!
Elizabeth Maxwell, DVM
