Hi everyone! Thank you visiting our fundraising page for the work that is happening in Paraguay. We were able to raise the funds for the new kitchen remodel which was such a blessing to the home. Their construction will begin shortly and I will be posting those updates to my FB. AT THIS MOMENT, This page is now going to be continued to raise funds continually for the home (from the $1,676) up to the full amount of $9,800. Roughly $8,100. From now on, this page will not be posted to FB. So, if you are visiting this page it is either from the personal fund raising cards I am handing out or because I have privately passed you the link.
Right now... El Puente, a girls home normally housing 20-22 girls, is in need of several items at their home which greatly hinder them from functioning well. After 3 months of living with them I was able to see the grief caused by needs that they currently live with day to day. SO... I decided to do something about it. I am advocating for them for people like you who are willing and able to help and are hoping to see REAL NEEDS filled. I will post updates on these needs being filled once I return to Paraguay in December to fill these needs.
The needs go as follows:
$800 Freezer - Current one is broken
$500 Sofa Set - Current Sofa set is 15 years old and sadly ratty
$800 2 New Ceiling Fans - Current fans are broken
$600 Dining Table Set - Currently do not have a set for the home
$2,000 Upcoming Christmas - This trip with be to another city where they will get to stay in a hotel have a vacation and catch a vision for their lives other than always having to stay at the home and receive presents every Christmas
$3,000 Mattresses & Pillows - Their current pillows and mattresses are 10 years old from the homes beginning years and they need new ones.
$400 Gas - The home is located about 105 miles from the capital city of Asuncion Paraguay where they would need to buy most of these items. This part of the fund raising is also essential!
Please specificy any donation accordingly in the comments if you'd like to help this cause!
I hope to be able to return to them in December for a few more months and continue the work I have been doing...
