Thank you to all of you for your support and prayers. The devastation in Nepal is far worse than you are seeing in the media and the needs on the ground far more significant than we can even articulate. The funds raised through this campaign are going directly to people that we know on the ground, their families, and the hundreds in their villages. We have already started distributing tents, rice, food, medicine, and clean water. We even have a water purification expert who is arriving tomorrow to work with these regions and villages that we work in. All of this is being supported and provided for through the funds we are raising through Global Mission Nepal. Your support is going a long way and I cannot thank you enough for giving as you have so far. It means the world to me, personally, and all of us at Global Mission Nepal
As many are now aware, on April 25, 2015 Nepal was hit with not only one of the most devastating earthquakes in the history of the country (certainly the largest in the last eighty years), but also one of the largest in the history of the world. The sheer devastation that is seen in Kathmandu, among numerous other regions, is nearly impossible to articulate in words. Hundreds, if not thousands, are dead. Thousands of homes are destroyed. Historical buildings have been leveled. Lives have been shattered. The death toll continues to increase and the destruction that has come from this earthquake is still in the very early stages of being understood.
As the country begins to dig out from such immense loss, Global Mission Nepal has initiated a relief effort to help victims of this tragic event to rebuild and receive the care and support they need to survive and move forward. Whether it is clean water, food, medical care, assistance rebuilding, or simply counsel and ministry from the Cross of Christ, we are committed to playing our role in showing the love of Christ, not just in Word, as we have always done, but in tangible relief and support. We love the country of Nepal. Our founder as well as staff and team members call Nepal “home”. And we are committed to manifesting the love and compassion we feel for this country through whatever means we can.
That being said, we encourage you to consider donating to Global Mission Nepal’s relief efforts. We are still learning of the tremendous needs ahead for these people. However, please prayerfully consider giving of your resources in order to be a blessing to these hurting people.
We thank you, from the depths of our hearts here at Global Mission Nepal, for your hearts of compassion and generosity in seeing this nation blessed by the body of Christ.
