As another year comes to a close I realize that this February 25 years ago, my life changed. February 9, 2023 will be 25 years that my brain tumor was removed & they had to put me in a drug induced coma because my brain swelled. The doctor told my family he wasn’t sure what I would be like when I came out of it. God blessed me and I woke up with very little challenges. Im so grateful for all that I have been blessed with. Although I’m not going to lie. I’ve questioned myself through the years as to why God has blessed me as he took others from this earth. I know it’s not my job to question God. I’ve always tried to focus on trying to make a difference in the lives of others no matter how small it it is. Now I with all this being said, I had just realized that my trip to Kenya this year to serve and walk along side others to help with their needs starts the exact day 25 years ago that God graced me with more time to try to make a difference. I know I have a long way to go to be the person I think I should be. I’m so grateful for every breath of opportunity given to me. Thank you Lord. 🙏❤️ Thank you to all my family and friends. I love you all and wish you the best year yet! May you find the best of yourselves in 2023 and recognize all your blessings along the way no matter how small they may be. 🙏❤️ Happy New Year! 🤗
God has placed an awesome opportunity in front of me and in my heart that I wanted to share with you. February 2023 I’ll be serving with a team in Kenya, from 2/9/2023 to 2/18/2023.We will be working with 410 Bridge. Our church (LCBC) sponsors children and community development through them, and we are excited to meet our sponsored children, build relationships with the community, and encourage & work alongside the long-term staff there. I have always had a desire to give blessings and walk alongside others to help with their needs. The following scripture says it all for me. "Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share." - 1 Timothy 6:18
I’d love for your help in making all of this happen. First, I would like to ask you to pray for our team. Pray for our travel, our safety, our unity, our attitudes, and for the people we will be interacting with.
In addition to praying, I would like to invite you in helping sponsor the financial cost of the trip. I would greatly appreciate anything that God has placed on your heart.
Have a Blessed New Year!
Sandy
