St. Charles Borromeo Church in Cheboygan MI is one hundred and ten years old. This old Architectual jewel had been abandon by the Gaylord diocese in 1988. St. Charles Catholic church, school and rectory was shuttered for three years and eventually sold off for the paltry sum of 120K. The three-building complex faced Bailey Street between Division and Elm streets. The church.is approximately 10,000 square feet and for three full decades was the most neglected of the three structures.
My vision is to continue restoring this once beautiful old building and return it to those that still desire the liturgy St. Charles was originally built to accommodate.
