I have been accepted into a Catholic Gap Year programme in Canada called the "St Therese Institute", A catholic formation school located in a little town called Bruno in the province of Saskatchewan, Canada.
I will be living within a community of other like-minded young adults, with a set out day-to-day schedule of prayer, worship, classes, community time, time with the parish community, and other activities and retreats throughout the 9 months.
I will be leaving in late August/early September to start my 9 months away. To do this, I need to raise a little over €5,000 which will cover the costs for flights, visa and tuition, and some money to live on while I am there.
Why am I doing this? After my reversion, my Catholic faith has been vital to who I am, how I view myself, and how I view everybody around me.
For a long time, I have been felt called to take a year out before university and grow in my faith with others, and the St. Therese Institute has given me that opportunity to grow more deeply, attain a deeper knowledge about the roots of Catholicism and serve the Lord through others.
I would greatly appreciate if you would donate however much you are able, and if you cannot at this point in time, I urge you to pray for me, through the intercession of St. Therese of Lisieux (Our Lord's little flower), Our Lady, and St. Joseph.
For more information on who I will be with with during these 9 months, see the St Therese Institute website, or reach out to me with any questions you have. You can contact me though social media (such as instagram @sophia.n.doyle, or through facebook @Sophia Doyle), or email me at email@example.com
