This fundraiser has been coordinated by friends and family of Wade and Wendy Spies who are deeply affected by the sudden and unexpected passing of their daughter Michelle who went to be with Jesus on Thursday, April 7th, 2022 at only 24 years of age.  For reasons we don't yet fully understand Michelle leaves behind her parents Wade & Wendy, her younger sister Courtney, and older brother Kendall, as well as her grandparents Graham & Irene Martin, and Melvin & Joan Spies along with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Michelle's life was a blessing, she was passionate about spending time with kids and particularly enjoyed reading to young children. Michelle also exhibited the heart of Christ by serving others and her community in a variety of ways such as teaching Sunday School and assisting her mother with the cleaning at the church.   She excelled at humbly building relationships centered on Christ.  Her memory will be both celebrated and treasured. Michelle gracefully and courageously fought to overcome the challenges of epilepsy, until the tragic SUDEP event that ended her life with us here on earth.

This fundraiser is designed to help offset the unexpected financial burden of funeral and related expenses.  The grief of this type of tragic event is almost unspeakable, however, where there is deep grief there is greater love.  If you knew Michelle and her life touched yours in any way please pray for her family, close relatives, and friends. Pray also that the life she lived and the example she set would leave a legacy that points others toward Christ.  Last but not least if you are able to help the Spies family bear the burden of this great loss your help would greatly be appreciated.

Update: Funeral Service to be held at First Baptist Church Thursday April 14th at 10:30am.  For those unable to attend in person the service will be live streamed on the McCaw Funeral Service Website. https://mccawfuneralservice.com/
