Help for Ukraine

Campaign Created by: Rich Moseanko

Goal: USD $5,000
Raised: USD $ 3,360

We are all shocked by the war in Ukraine…it has impacted the lives of everyone within the borders of this beautiful country which is also the ancestral home of my family. My grandfather was born in a village now called Kalynove. Because of the war, Kalynove is now home to 700 displaced people, including Vladimir who is hopelessly watching his home burn in Gostomel. He along with others made their way to Kalynove, leaving everything behind, to seek refuge. They are in urgent need of food and other essential items to sustain them.

One of my relatives, Marina, has agreed to assist them but needs financial assistance to make this happen. She and her husband fled Kyiv to take refuge with her grandparents in Kalynove. While Marina says she and her family are not in need of assistance, she said the 700 displaced people have many needs.

We need your donations to help these people and others like them survive. I will be assisting Marina remotely and will provide an accounting of all funds to ensure there is transparency.

This part of the Ukraine is where many of the immigrants who settled in the Butte and Kief areas of North Dakota once lived.

As parts of Ukraine are heavily engaged in military activity, others areas are seeing survivors emerging or returning to their devastated communities. This week Marina brought much needed food to one such area and was told horrific stories of what the people had to endure. The people she met were very grateful for the food they received which was purchased with your generous donations. We still need $2,000 to meet our goal.
