Remembering Rebecca Supporting Her Family

I’m writing this with a heavy heart, as my brother-in-law is going through one of the toughest times any family could face. Rebecca Kratzer passed away unexpectedly on March 16, 2026. She was more than just family; she was our friend—loving, caring, and full of life.

Rebecca left behind her husband, two young children who are now without their mom, and all of us who loved her deeply. Her loss is a gaping hole in so many lives, but especially within the hearts of her grieving family members.

I can still see Rebecca’s smile—her warmth could light up any room she entered. She was an incredible wife to my brother-in-law, Alex and a fantastic mother to their two beautiful children. Her dedication to them was unwavering; she worked tirelessly to provide for her family and support her husband in every possible way.

But life can be unpredictable—it’s not always fair or kind. And when tragedy struck on that fateful day, it left Alex struggling with medical bills piling up along with the pain of losing his soulmate. Their children need their mother dearly, and now they face a reality without her presence in their daily lives.

We are raising funds to help cover some of these expenses and support them through this difficult time. Every dollar counts—it could be spent on paying bills or providing comfort for Alex and the kids as they navigate this new normal without Rebecca by their side.

I know times are tough, and many faces have felt similar pain recently. But if you can find it in your heart to donate whatever you can—whether a little or a lot—it could be that lifeline we need right now. It’s not just about money; it’s about love, compassion, and standing together through the toughest of times.

Rebecca’s celebration of life will take place on April 18th, 2026 at North Olmsted Methodist Church (4600 Dover Center Rd.). I invite you to come share your memories, laughter, tears—all those moments that made Rebecca so special and loved by everyone who knew her.

In this time of sadness, let’s remind Alex and his children just how many hearts they have touched with love in their darkest hours. Your kindness could make a world of difference as we all come together to support the ones left behind. Thank you for taking the time to read about our story—let’s stand united against tragedy by standing up for those who need us most right now.

With heartfelt gratitude, Michelle Kratzer Spencer
