Dear Family and Friends,
I want to share with you about an amazing opportunity coming up for me on May 5th-13th, 2019! I will be going to Palmer and Anchorage, Alaska with a small mission’s team of students from Emmanuel College. When people think of Alaska, they picture snow covered mountains and beautiful rivers crisscrossing the land. An image of Alaska that people don’t see often is the large amounts of people who have no relationship with Jesus Christ. Because of this, the goal of our team will be to work with two churches in both cities. In Palmer, our main goal will be outreach to elementary, middle, and high school students in the community. Also, there will be several construction projects our team will be involved in at a church. In the city of Anchorage, our team will be conducting outreach services with diverse populations of middle and high school students. We will also work on repairs at a church located in an important section of Anchorage, a section home to a large diverse population of Alaskans. Many of you may remember that on November 30, 2018, there was a 7.0 magnitude earthquake in Anchorage that caused major damage to the city as well as nearby cities. Several high-magnitude aftershocks came about in the following days. While we are in Anchorage, we will also be helping with earthquake relief because some of the damage will still be present when we arrive.
I have created this Give Send Go page to ask you for your support. You can support me and the team in the following ways:
1. Through your prayers. (Safe travels there and back, safety while we are there, that we all remain healthy while we are there, and that each of us raises adequate funds)
2. Through financial support for the team to help us raise our funds for the trip, the outreaches, and other supplies. (The total cost for each person for the trip is about $1200.)
Thank you in advance for your support, and I look forward to sharing with you everything that God has done in us and through us when we return.
