I last left STN November 2016 because of a back injury. I left with a plan to come back after two months of rest but I did not heal. I went with a one way ticket to Florida (with intentions of earning money to buy a ticket to come back to California) so I could see two of my friends get married. Around the day of the wedding, I got a check in call from one of the staff of STN hawaii and I had to make one of the toughest decisions I had at the time. I had to decide to leave STN.
I ended up staying in Florida for 8 total months working as a barista. I spent most of my free time resting and reading the bible and watching videos of Todd White and Dan Mohler. That time in florida was surprisingly the closest I have felt to God and have experienced his peace and wisdom like no other time. Florida wasn’t my permanent location.
I then went to school in northern California at Redding for Bethel school of supernatural ministry. Towards the end of the school year, I asked God where I should go and short story short, I felt his favor and plan to go to Huntington Beach even though I really didn’t want to go. With not wanting to go, I asked Him about going to Florida first. So I drove to Florida from Redding.
I spent about 7 months there and God reminded me that I needed to come back to Huntington. I flew back January 9th 2019 and got a job as a helper for remodeling bathrooms. Surfing the Nations was planning (for the first time in HB) on starting as I got back, but it ended up having to get pushed back a year. I had my last day of work almost exactly a year after I started and went straight in to preparing the new house for the interns to arrive.
January 22nd was our first official day of our stn huntington beach. It has been a crazy journey from the last time I worked with them until now and I don’t have any regrets. I am happy I left and I’m happy I’m back.
