We are asking for our tribe to come together and provide some financial assistance to our family in light of Rick's recent diagnosis of kidney cancer. This is a difficult ask for both of us but necessary at this time. We want to fight this with everything we have but we are barely staying afloat and there’s no room for extras in the budget. Having both been addicts in the past and the manipulative ways of that lifestyle, it is particularly hard for us to ask for help, especially financial help.

The Backstory:

Rick started feeling run down around Thanksgiving of 2023 and took a few days off work and right at that time the flow of projects at his construction job slowed down considerably so we have been surviving on just Jess's income for almost six months. This means that our boys have been told "No, we don't have any extra money right now" for a lot of things. Now, with this diagnosis, that run-down feeling makes sense, but also precludes the idea that Rick will be getting back to work now that spring has arrived.

We want to fight this cancer with every natural remedy we can get our hands on, but unfortunately, a lot of that stuff is expensive. That is why we are reaching out for help, not only to keep our family afloat until Rick's health improves but to also have the extra funds to purchase medicinal herbs and remedies.
